Finished Zeke’s AMAZINGrace!

Hi all~

Wow! We finished Zeke’s AMAZING RACE this week and definitely saw God’s grace at work in the life of the nation of Israel.

I love Ezekiel 37! God gives Zeke a vision of the Valley of Dry Bones. This vision has inspired songs both old (Dem Bones) and new (Awake, My Soul). This vision is God giving Zeke and the Israelites hope that He will bring the nation back and restore it to life. It is yet another picture of how God wants to revive our individual lives as well. Are you feeling dead and dry inside? God wants to put your life back together and breathe new life into YOU! He wants to give you a new heart and a new spirit. “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

Let me know if you have any questions about that.

Chapters 38 & 39 of Ezekiel are apocalytic. Apocalyptic writing is symbolic and focuses on events in the last times, on judgment and on a new era to come. In apocalyptic writings there is the struggle between good and evil. These chapters describe a future attack on Israel and God’s deliverance of His people. the invading armies (Gog & Magog and their allies) come out of the north. The time of the battle is unclear but in the latter days. Because ancient Magog was thought to be in the area of today’s Russia, there are many who believe the attack on Israel will come from Russia and her allies. (I am no authority on end times prophecies.)

Chapters 40-48 describe a future temple in great detail. It speaks of the restoration of the land as the Israelites and the living water that will flow from the temple.  It speaks of the glory of the LORD returning and residing in Jerusalem. “And the name of that city from that time on shall be, ‘The LORD is There,’” (Ez. 48:35b).

I hope you have been blessed by the study of Ezekiel. Next week, we begin Danny’s AMAZINGrace! Don’t miss it!!! (Book of Daniel!!!)
