Merry Ministries is dedicated to teaching the Bible in a clear, accurate and practical manner. Our desire is for people to know God and grow in their understanding of His plan for their lives.
"So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the know
ledge of God"
Colossians 1:10
Merry Ministries is a women's interdenominational group that meets weekly to worship God, study the Bible, pray and fellowship with each other. The group of over 400 women includes Methodists, Baptists, Catholics, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Church of Christ, non-denominationalists and those who are not affiliated with any church. Our time of praise and worship is led by Christian recording artists, Tricia Zody and Debbie Fancher.
The class is led by Mary Willis who is teaching through the Bible. The goal of Merry Ministries is to provide a place for women to grow in Biblical knowledge, learn how the Bible applies to us today, and to start or strengthen a relationship with God that can change our lives forever. Members have the option of attending on Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings. Childcare is offered for Wednesday mornings. There is no written homework and no charge for the class or childcare. The Wednesday class is followed by and optional small group time for discussion and prayer.
The classes begin January 10 & 11 and go through May 1 & 2. We will be studying the Old Testament books of Numbers through Joshua. We look at not only the biblical, historical and cultural importance, but also how Jesus is foreshadowed throughout the Old Testament. We would love for you to join us. We meet in the Sanctuary of Sugar Land First United Methodist Church. Click here for a map and driving directions.
Evening Classes: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., starting January 10, 2012
Morning Classes: Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., starting January 11, 2012
